2024 Bushfire Community Day – Save the date!

The Bushfire Centre of Excellence is excited to announce that the annual Bushfire Community Day is heading to the Perth Hills and will be held on Sunday 6 October 2024 at the Kalamunda Community Centre.

Located in Hedley Jorgensen Park, the Kalamunda Community Centre is a bespoke venue immersed in the bush offering amazing indoor and outdoor spaces – the perfect location for the fourth Bushfire Community Day!

In collaboration with the City of Kalamunda, the Bushfire Centre of Excellence team will host the free event that offers Western Australian community members with the opportunity to learn about bushfire, meet with emergency services personnel and enjoy a fun day out with the family.

The key focus of the Bushfire Community Day is to promote all things bushfire, specifically the preparedness actions that the community need to take ahead of each bushfire season.

Through informative sessions and interactive exhibits, the event provides the opportunity for DFES and partners to inform, support and guide Western Australians to prepare for bushfires with a range of educational products and materials.
